How this tier list is ranked — and why it disagrees with others
This list is assembled from our sourced hero database: hero names, rarities, generations and troop types are verified data, while the tier placements are editorial — community consensus across multiple published tier lists, weighed against role logic, and labeled as opinion right at the top of the page. That separation is deliberate. Most Kingshot tier lists present one global ranking, which quietly answers only one question (usually "who rallies best"). We rank per role — rally, garrison, bear hunt — because the answer genuinely changes: a hero can be the best garrison anchor in the game and a mediocre rally lead.
Reading a tier list without being misled
- Your generation matters more than the letter. An S-tier hero you cannot field at strength is worth less than an A-tier hero at full stars — check shard costs in the Shard Calculator before chasing a letter.
- F2P-friendly toggling changes the podium. Several top-tier heroes are effectively spender-gated; the toggle above re-ranks for the budget you actually have.
- Tiers shift when the game patches; the database pages carry last-verified dates per hero, and corrections land through the Commons.
