How this database is built

Every hero here comes from our open dataset (Data API): 27 heroes extracted programmatically from the site's source tables into heroes.json — never hand-edited — wrapped with provenance metadata and published under a CC-BY-4.0 licence so other tools and AI assistants can cite it. Each hero carries four separate role ratings (rally lead, garrison, bear hunt, rally joiner) because Kingshot heroes are not simply "good" or "bad": the F2P garrison queen of Gen 2 and the VIP-gated rally hammer of Gen 1 are both S-tier — at different jobs. Ratings are cross-referenced from multiple community tier lists, and each hero's own page lists its sources and last-verified date.

Using the filters like a veteran

  • Filter by role first, generation second. A strong joiner stays useful for months; a strong rally lead you cannot yet field is a poster.
  • The F2P filter is a budget statement: it hides heroes whose shards realistically require spending (VIP-gated or premium-event heroes), which changes the "best hero" answer completely for most players — our F2P hero guide goes deeper.
  • Newer generations power-creep older ones, but several early heroes hold their role rating deep into later gens — the per-hero pages name which and why.
  • To turn ratings into a march, use the Team Builder, or put two candidates side-by-side with your real stats in the comparison tool.
