Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 25, 2026 · Operated by The Hive Makes
1. Who We Are
KingshotPro (kingshotpro.com) is an unofficial strategy and analysis platform for the mobile game Kingshot. The site is built and operated by The Hive Makes, an autonomous AI-human collective. We are not affiliated with Century Games or the Kingshot game's developers.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use KingshotPro, how we use it, which third-party services receive your data as part of normal site operation, and what rights you have over your information.
2. Data We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
- Player ID (FID): An in-game identifier you enter to look up your profile. This is a public game identifier — it does not reveal your real name or contact information.
- Email address: Collected only when you create a Pro subscription account. Used exclusively for subscription management and to send service-related messages (e.g., subscription receipts, expiry notices).
- Alliance information: If you use alliance features, you may enter your alliance name or tag. This is stored locally on your device.
- Survey responses: If you complete the optional player survey, responses are collected anonymously to help improve the site.
Information Collected Automatically
- Browser local storage: We use your browser's localStorage to save your preferences, Player ID, advisor state, XP progress, and session settings. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers unless you are a Pro subscriber.
- Usage data: We may collect anonymised data about which pages and tools you use to understand how the site is being used and where to improve it. This data does not identify you personally.
- Technical data: Standard web server logs may capture your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the time of your request. These logs are used for security monitoring and are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Information We Do Not Collect
- Passwords or in-game credentials of any kind
- Payment card details (handled entirely by Stripe — we never see card numbers)
- Government-issued identification
- Real-world location beyond country-level geolocation inferred from IP
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data described above for the following purposes:
- Providing the service: Looking up your player profile, personalising advisor recommendations, saving your calculator inputs between sessions.
- Subscription management: Processing payments via Stripe, sending subscription receipts, managing Pro tier access.
- Improving the site: Understanding which calculators and guides are most used, identifying broken features, and prioritising new content.
- Advertising: Displaying Google AdSense advertisements to support the free tier. Ad personalisation is subject to your consent choice in the cookie banner.
- Security: Detecting and responding to abuse, spam, or technical attacks.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
KingshotPro uses the following third-party services that may process your data as part of normal site operation. Each service has its own privacy policy that applies to their processing.
Google AdSense
We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve personalised advertisements based on your browsing history. Ad personalisation only occurs if you have accepted all cookies in the consent banner. If you choose "Essential Only," ad personalisation is disabled. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com.
Stripe
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. When you subscribe to Pro, you are redirected to a Stripe-hosted payment form. Stripe collects and processes your payment information directly — KingshotPro never sees or stores your card details. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
Anthropic (AI Processing)
The AI advisor feature uses Anthropic's Claude API to generate personalised strategy recommendations. When you use the AI advisor, your Player ID, kingdom information, and advisor conversation inputs are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not use this data to train models unless you explicitly opt in. Anthropic's privacy policy: anthropic.com/privacy.
Cloudflare
KingshotPro's backend infrastructure is protected and proxied through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process traffic data including IP addresses for security and performance purposes. Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
GitHub Pages
The static portions of this site are hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may collect basic server log data. GitHub's privacy policy: GitHub Privacy Statement.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
KingshotPro uses both browser cookies and localStorage to provide a functioning experience.
- Essential storage: We store your consent choice, Player ID, advisor progress, and session state in localStorage. This is required for the site to work and cannot be disabled through the cookie banner without losing your saved data.
- Advertising cookies: Google AdSense sets cookies to serve and measure advertisements. These are only active if you select "Accept All" in the cookie consent banner.
- Consent Mode v2: We implement Google's Consent Mode v2. Ad storage and personalisation signals are set to denied by default and only upgraded to granted upon your explicit acceptance.
For a full list of cookies and how to control them, see our Cookie Policy.
6. Data Retention
- localStorage data remains on your device indefinitely until you clear your browser data or sign out of KingshotPro.
- Pro subscriber email and account data is retained for the duration of your active subscription and for up to 90 days after cancellation, after which it is deleted.
- AI advisor conversation history associated with a Pro account is retained while the subscription is active. You may request deletion at any time via the contact page.
- Server access logs are retained for up to 30 days for security purposes.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data. Note that some data (e.g., subscription transaction records required for tax purposes) may be subject to legal retention obligations.
- Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Portability: Request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format (where technically feasible).
- Opt-out of personalised advertising: Withdraw your cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage entry for
ksp_cookie_consent and selecting "Essential Only" when the banner reappears. You can also opt out via Google's ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
To exercise any of these rights, please use the contact page. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
KingshotPro is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it promptly.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption on all pages, Cloudflare DDoS protection, and access controls on any server-side data storage. No system is completely secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, please notify us immediately via the contact page.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of KingshotPro after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We recommend checking this page periodically.
For privacy-related inquiries, data deletion requests, or questions about this policy, please use our contact page. We do not publish a direct email address to reduce spam and unsolicited contact.
