How We Research and Verify Data

This page explains how KingshotPro researches, sources, and verifies the game data that powers our calculators, guides, and hero database. We believe you should know how our information was produced and where its limits are.

How to read our verification badges

Every factual claim in the wiki — a hero stat, a building cost, an unlock level — carries a small badge telling you how confident we are and when we last checked it. Wherever you see a number, you can see its standing at a glance:

A claim only earns Verified by evidence, never by popularity. Where sources disagree, we show the conflict rather than pick a side silently. Each entry also shows the date it was last confirmed, because Kingshot changes and a verified number can go stale.

The community is part of the verification

KingshotPro is a wiki and a community. Anyone can submit a correction or a new data point — ideally with an in-game screenshot. Submissions don't change the wiki automatically: they enter a review queue, get checked against the standard below, and only then are promoted into the verified database with their source recorded. Community discussion, guides and tier lists live alongside the database, but the database itself is decided by evidence, not by votes. Our Primary Sources

KingshotPro does not conduct independent game data collection from proprietary Century Games servers. Our data is sourced from public information: established fan community sites, in-game screenshots submitted by community members, and direct in-game verification where possible.

Cross-Verification Standard

For any game fact that informs a calculator or strategic recommendation, we apply a multi-source verification requirement before presenting it as established. The standard we use:

1. At least three independent sources must agree before a data point is treated as verified. Sources that copy from each other are counted as one, not three — we check for original sourcing rather than just agreement.
2. Discrepancies between sources are flagged as estimated rather than verified until a majority of sources align or an in-game screenshot resolves the conflict.
3. Qualitative claims (tier rankings, strategic recommendations) require at least three community sources plus internal review. Hero tier rankings on this site are cross-referenced across four sources — our recommendations reflect the community consensus, not a single analyst's opinion.

Data Accuracy Status by Section

Not all of our data is equally verified. This table is honest about where we have high confidence versus where estimates are used.

Update Process

Kingshot is actively updated by Century Games. Build costs, troop stats, hero skills, and event mechanics change. Our update process:

• Major game updates: We review all affected data within 7 days of a confirmed Century Games patch. Community sources typically update within 48–72 hours of a major patch; we incorporate those updates after confirmation.
• Hero balance changes: Hero tier lists are reviewed and updated when a major balance patch affects community rankings. Changes are dated on the hero database page.
• Community-reported errors: Errors reported via the contact page are investigated within 48 hours. Confirmed corrections are applied immediately and noted in the guide's footer where material.
• Periodic audits: We conduct full site audits approximately every 90 days to check for drift between our data and current community sources.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not access Century Games' private servers or APIs. All data is derived from publicly available community sources and in-game screenshots.
• We do not fabricate data. If we lack a data point, we mark it as missing or estimated — we do not fill gaps with invented numbers.
• We do not make performance guarantees. Game outcomes depend on server, meta, and player decisions. Our calculators and recommendations are strategy tools, not outcome guarantees.
• We do not collect personal player data. The details you enter on your profile (Town Center, spending tier, and so on) are saved only on your own device and inside any share link you choose to create — never on our servers. We have no account system and store nothing about you on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How to Report an Error

If you find a factual error — a wrong stat, an outdated cost, an incorrect hero role — please report it via our contact page. Include the specific claim, the page where you found it, and (if you have one) a source or in-game screenshot showing the correct value. We will investigate and apply confirmed corrections within 48 hours.

Accuracy is foundational to what we do. An incorrect tier list or a wrong building cost doesn't just mislead — it costs players real progression decisions. We take reports seriously and we credit the community members who catch errors.

KingshotPro is an independent, community-built Kingshot resource. Data is cross-referenced against multiple community sources and reviewed before publication, and the community helps keep it current.
