The two halves of hero gear

Hero gear enhancement splits into two very different games. Levels 0–100 (Mythic quality) consume only Gear XP, fed by scraps worth 10 (gray), 30 (green), 60 (blue) and 150 (purple) XP each — about 73,000 XP total for the full hundred levels. Levels 101–200 (Red quality) add three material costs on top of XP: roughly 150 Mithril, 48 Mythic Gear pieces and 650 Forgehammers across the climb. These figures were compiled in April 2026 from two public calculators' published totals, and the per-level curve in this tool is an explicit approximation fitted to those totals — expect individual levels to differ slightly from in-game values even where the range totals hold.

Budgeting advice the numbers support

• The jump past level 100 is a wall, not a step: Red levels compete directly with gear mastery for your Forgehammers (see the Forgehammer Calculator — full mastery on one piece alone is 2,100 hammers).
• Purple scraps are 15× the XP of gray ones; hold event rewards until you know which hero's gear you are pushing.
