⚔️ Kingdom of Power
Duel of the Elites guide
A cross-kingdom duel for the strongest Governors, tied to the Preparation Phase of Kingdom of Power (KvK). Here is who gets in, how the groups work, and what a 1st-place finish does for your whole Kingdom.
Duel of the Elites in one breath: the top 150 Governors by Power from each Kingdom enter, split into 10 Duel groups of up to 30. A Group Duel runs in each of the first 4 stages of Kingdom of Power. Finishing 1st in your group earns your Kingdom a Kingdom Preparation Point Bonus for the next Preparation Phase.
Who gets in
- The top 150 most powerful Governors among recently active players from each Kingdom enter.
- Fewer than 150 eligible? Then all eligible Governors may take part, and the system builds groups from the actual number of participants in both Kingdoms.
- The roster locks. Once Kingdom of Power matchmaking is complete, the Governor roster is locked. If your Power climbs into the top 150 during the event, you can't enter.
What this means for Power: if you're near the cut line, don't count on climbing in after Kingdom of Power matchmaking is complete. The Help Center doesn't say when Power is measured, so check your Kingdom's schedule.
How the groups work
- 10 Duel groups by default. Each group can hold up to 30 Governors, with up to 15 from each of the two Kingdoms. The Help Center says actual numbers may vary, so check the event page.
- One Group Duel per stage. A Group Duel is held during each of the first 4 stages of Kingdom of Power.
- Groups reshuffle. Before each of Stages 1 to 4 of the Preparation Phase begins, the system rematches the members of each Duel group, so don't expect the same opponents twice.
- Limited visibility. Only Governors selected for the current Duel of the Elites can see the Duel groups, participants and Ranking Rewards. Everyone else can only see the 1st-place player in each Duel group for each phase.
What's not published: the Help Center doesn't explain how a Duel is scored, how long a single Duel lasts, or what the Ranking Rewards are. If you're in it, the in-game event screen is the only source for those, and we won't guess.
The Kingdom Preparation Point Bonus
This is the part that affects people who aren't in the top 150, so alliance leaders should read it closely.
- Who earns it: the Governor who finishes 1st in each Duel group earns the bonus for their Kingdom.
- What it does: when Governors in that Kingdom earn Kingdom Preparation Points, the bonus grants them extra Kingdom Preparation Points based on the bonus rate. Personal Points and Alliance Points are not affected.
- When it applies: only during the next Preparation Phase of the current event. The Help Center's example: rank 1st on Day 1 and the bonus takes effect on Day 2.
- It doesn't last. It does not run until the event ends, and bonuses earned in one stage do not carry over to later stages.
- Stacking: if several bonuses for the same Kingdom take effect in the same Preparation Phase, they stack. The Help Center's example is five Governors from one Kingdom each finishing 1st, giving that Kingdom a 5% bonus to Kingdom Preparation Points in the next Preparation Phase.
For R4/R5 leaders Our reading of the rules
This is KingshotPro's inference from the rules above, not an official ruling.
- The bonus belongs to the whole Kingdom, so it's worth finding out which of your members are in the Duel and making sure they know a 1st place helps everyone's Preparation Points.
- Because the bonus is only live for the next Preparation Phase, line up your members' Preparation Point activity for that window rather than banking it for later.
- Since the roster locks at matchmaking, there's nothing to do mid-event to get a new member in.
For the rest of Kingdom of Power, the KvK guide covers the phases and the KvK prep checklist covers what to have ready.
