⚔️ KvK / SvS

Kingshot SvS explained

Short version: in Kingshot, "SvS" is just another name for KvK — the monthly Kingdom of Power war. Here's how it actually works, and how to walk in ready.

SvS = KvK in Kingshot. Players coming from other games call it "State vs State" or "Server vs Server," but Kingshot's cross-kingdom war event is officially the Kingdom of Power (KvK) event. Same thing — so every KvK guide and tool on this site is your SvS guide too.

What the event actually is

Kingdom of Power pits two matched kingdoms against each other across two stages. First a Prep Phase, where you score points by doing activities inside your own kingdom (building, training, research and so on). Then a Battle Phase, where the two kingdoms can cross into each other's territory and fight for kills and objectives. It runs on roughly a monthly cycle, usually landing in the fourth week of the month.

Why the prep phase matters: a lot of players ignore it and "save themselves for the fighting." That's backwards — the prep phase is free points you bank without risk. Alliances that treat prep seriously often win before a single troop marches.

Matchmaking — who you fight, and when

  • Your kingdom has to be old enough. A kingdom generally becomes eligible for KvK matchmaking at around 70 days old. Younger kingdoms sit out until they mature.
  • It cycles about every 4 weeks, with matchmaking commonly kicking off on a Saturday.
  • You're matched by power, not at random — the system looks at the strength of the top players in each kingdom (and how established the kingdom is) to find a comparable opponent.

Practically, that means the week your kingdom crosses the age threshold, start watching for the matchmaking announcement — and start prepping (see the checklist below) before you even know who you've drawn.

The battle phase — how points and the castle work

  • Cross-kingdom teleporters let players jump into the enemy kingdom's map to attack.
  • Fair-fight scoring: you typically only earn points for hitting enemies whose Town Center is within about 3 levels of yours — so bullying much smaller players doesn't pad your score. Target opponents in your bracket.
  • The Castle Battle is the headline fight, commonly kicking off around 12:00 UTC. Going into it, titles and positions across both kingdoms are reset — it's a clean contest for control.
  • Winner takes the crown: the victorious kingdom gets to appoint a ruler (a "High King") whose authority extends over both kingdoms until the next cycle.
Timings and exact thresholds can shift by server generation and game updates. Treat the above as the standard pattern and confirm the specifics in your in-game Events tab before you plan around a precise time.

How to actually get ready

Knowing the rules is half of it; the other half is walking in with troops trained, speedups banked, shields stocked and rally roles assigned. We built an interactive checklist for exactly that — tick items off in the days before your window and your progress saves automatically.
