🏆 Swordland
Swordland Summit League guide
The League is Swordland Showdown scaled up into a multi-week ladder of Legions. Here is how it's structured, how Legions are matched, and exactly how it differs from regular Showdown, using only what the publisher states.
Summit League in one breath: same battles as Swordland Showdown, but a multi-alliance competition inside a Zone of up to 192 Legions, split into Royal, Master and Diamond tiers. Qualifiers, Points Battles and a Championship run across Weeks 1 to 6. Each Legion fields up to 30 Combatants and 20 Substitutes, and a Legion in the League can't join that week's Showdown.
League vs regular Showdown
The Help Center calls the League "an upgraded version of Swordland Showdown". The combat type, battle format and active buffs are the same in both. What changes is the structure around the battle.
- Structure: the League is a multi-alliance competition within a Zone, with up to the top 192 registered Legions (at least 16 needed). Our Showdown guide covers the battle itself.
- Match types: Qualifiers, Points Battles and a Championship.
- Schedule: the League has no fixed weekly schedule, so follow event announcements. Swordland Showdown still opens once every 14 days; the League doesn't change that.
- Roster: up to 30 Combatants and 20 Substitutes per League Legion.
- Exclusivity: a Legion that joins this week's League can't join this week's Showdown.
Tier safety: winning or losing any League match won't affect your Swordland Showdown Tier.
The five phases
- Preview Phase — runs 2 days, Friday and Saturday, one week before the event starts.
- League Sign-Up — Sunday to Friday. It includes a vote on time slots (five UTC options: 02:00, 07:00, 12:00, 14:00 and 19:00; the vote is only a reference for alliance management), the Sign-Up itself from Tuesday to Thursday of the first week, and the Matchmaking Phase on Friday of week one.
- Part 1 — Saturday of Week 1 through Sunday of Week 4: four Qualifier rounds and three Points Battle rounds.
- Part 2 — Monday of Week 5 through Sunday of Week 6: three Championship rounds and two Points Battle rounds.
- Display Phase — in week seven.
No fixed calendar: the League does not open every week. Watch the in-game announcements for when the next one starts.
Zones and tiers
- Zones: the server randomly assigns registered League Legions into groups based on Kingdoms with similar development progress.
- Tiers are set by how many Legions registered in the Zone and their Legion Squad Power ranking:
| Registered Legions | Royal | Master | Diamond |
| 127 or fewer | Top 64 | — | — |
| 128 to 191 | Top 64 | Ranks 65–128 | — |
| 192 | Top 64 | Ranks 65–128 | Ranks 129–192 |
A Zone needs at least 16 registered Legions for the League to run.
How matches are decided and matched
- Winning a match: the Legion with more Alliance Relic Points at the end of the battle wins. The Help Center gives no tie-break.
- Qualifier: four rounds (Round 1 Saturday to Sunday of Week 1; Rounds 2, 3 and 4 each Monday to Sunday of Weeks 2, 3 and 4). Every 16 participating Legions form 1 group, for a total of 4 groups. The winner advances, the loser is eliminated from the Qualifier, and the 1st-place Legion from each group advances to the Championship.
- Points Battle: Legions that lose in the Qualifier enter Points Battle and keep competing. There are 5 rounds: Sunday of Weeks 2, 3, 4 and 5, then Friday of Week 6.
- Championship: 3 rounds, Monday of Week 5 through Sunday of Week 6. A Mythic Group Legion stays in the Mythic Group after a win and moves to the Elite Group after a loss. An Elite Group Legion stays after a win and is eliminated after a loss. The top Mythic Group Legion and top Elite Group Legion compete for the League championship.
- Recognition: the champion, runner-up and third-place Legions are recorded in the Hall of Honor.
- Matchmaking Points decide matchups. They come from the Squad Power of the top 20 registered Governors, built from Governor Gear, Hero Gear and Battle Tech Power. A Legion's historical win rate does not affect matchmaking.
- When Power is read: after the Matchmaking Phase begins, the participant list is locked and Legions are matched on the Power data at that point.
Rosters, leaving and the battlefield
Who plays
Alliance Leaders and R4 members select participants. Each Legion can choose up to 30 Combatants and 20 Substitutes. Substitutes can enter the battlefield 3 minutes after the battle begins.
If someone leaves the alliance
Leaving during the Sign-Up Phase affects sign-up participation and Alliance reward eligibility. Once Sign-Up ends, the Combatant list is locked, and leaving the alliance at that time doesn't affect League participation as long as the member rejoins their original alliance before each battlefield begins. To receive Season Alliance Ranking Rewards, a member must be in the originally registered alliance at UTC 24:00 on the day the Finals end.
On the battlefield
- Troops in the battlefield don't suffer casualties; injured troops go to the Infirmary.
- Buildings burn much faster inside the battlefield, and Towns are moved to the Safe Zone if fires aren't put out in time.
- Leaving the battlefield during battle triggers a cooldown. You can return after 12 minutes.
- Governors in the League can't take part in Swordland Showdown, Eternity's Reach, Tri-Alliance Clash or Flamedragon Tyrant battlefields until they leave the League.
- Governors from active League Kingdoms can watch matches from all Zones.
How it shares slots with Swordland Showdown
- Shared Legion slots. The two events share the alliance's Legion slots. Once a Legion signs up for the League, it occupies that slot.
- Same-week rule. A Legion that joins this week's League can't join this week's Showdown. It can join the next Showdown once all its League matches are finished.
- Losing doesn't free you early. A Legion that loses a competitive match generally still can't join Showdown, because it continues in the Points Battle. Check the in-game Legion registration screen to see whether it can join.
- Rewards. All alliance members can receive the Alliance Rewards earned by Legion 1 in the League.
R4/R5 checklist Our reading of the rules
This section is KingshotPro's own inference from the rules above, not an official ruling.
- Decide before the Sign-Up Phase which Legion is your League Legion, since the Combatant list locks once Sign-Up ends and Power is read once matchmaking begins.
- Tell members who might leave the alliance to rejoin before each battlefield opens.
- Plan Showdown around the League: a Legion in the League is off Showdown until its League matches are done.
- The battle itself matches Showdown, so the Showdown guide still applies for roles and buildings.
