Short answer
No, it is a real game. Both store listings name Century Games as the seller or developer, and the App Store listing discloses in-app purchases and loot boxes. What some players call a scam is the gap between the ads and the game, which one reviewer criticised.
“Pay to win” is a judgement, not a fact we can source. We give the facts to judge it with.
Checked 2026-10-22 against the App Store and Google Play listings, the publisher’s notices and one PocketGamer article.
The App Store lists the seller as Century Games Pte. Ltd., and Google Play lists the developer as Century Games PTE. LTD. The game is free to download with in-app purchases. The publisher posts notices on kingshot.com, keeps a Help Center, and has published lists of accounts it acted against (see our banned-account page).
PocketGamer ran an opinion piece in June 2026 by a writer who tried the game after seeing its ads. The writer says the ads show a tower-defence game, while the game itself is a strategy game about building up a settlement, upgrading structures, recruiting heroes and spending speed-ups. The writer calls this a bait-and-switch, and also writes that the game is well made and that many players like it. That is one person’s view of the ads, not a finding about the publisher.
If you came for tower defence, know that the writer found the game is mostly something else. If you came for a long-running strategy game, the ads are not the game.
Our own guides, which are assessments and not publisher statements, say that heavy spenders pull ahead and that the gap shows up in direct fighting, while a free player who plays consistently can still fill useful roles. The honest short version is that spending buys speed and depth, and that how much that matters depends on what you want from the game.
We do not give totals. Our free-to-play guide covers the daily tasks, events and gift codes that are the free route, and the pack value guide helps you decide whether a pack suits a need you actually have before you pay.
Sites promising free gems or hacks, and sellers of accounts, are not the publisher. See the hack hub and the page on buying an account.
It is a real game from Century Games, listed under that name on the App Store and Google Play.
The ads exist. One reviewer found they show a tower-defence game while the game is mainly something else, and called that a bait-and-switch. That is an opinion about the ads.
That is a judgement. The listings disclose in-app purchases and loot boxes, and our guides say spenders pull ahead. Free players can still play and contribute. See the free-to-play guide.
The official routes are the two store listings. We do not certify any app as safe. See the mod APK page for the official download and what a modified copy is.
What we could not confirm: whether the ads breach any advertising rule, since we found no ruling; the numbers in the publisher’s probability tables; what share of players spend; and any claim that the ads copied music, which we did not verify and do not repeat.
