Kingshot mod APK: what it is, what it can cost you, and the official download

Short answer

A mod APK is a copy of the app changed by someone other than the publisher. The Terms say you agree not to copy, modify or reverse engineer the game, or help anyone else do so, and they bar sharing cheat tools. The official downloads are the App Store and Google Play listings below.

Checked 2026-10-22 against the publisher's Terms of Service and the App Store and Google Play listings.

What a “mod APK” really is

An APK is the install file for an Android app. A “mod” is a copy that someone other than the publisher has changed, then re-packaged and offered for download. The pages that offer them promise things such as unlimited gems. We name none of them and link none: a name or a link sends them traffic.

In the result titles and descriptions we read on 2026-10-21 (we opened none of the pages), these offers followed the same pattern as the “unlimited gems” sites: a file or profile to install from outside the app stores, a “verification” step, or a request for your game login.

What it can cost you

The rules. The Terms say you may not copy, change, reverse engineer or decompile the game, or help anyone else do so. That is the clause closest to a modified copy of the app, and we read it no further than its words. The Terms also prohibit developing, distributing or publicly informing other members about “auto”, “macro” and other cheat utility software, and say the publisher may deny anyone access to the game at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.
What the publisher has said. Its notice of 13 February 2026 names cheats, scripts, “multi-instance sync” and other third-party tools used to create farming accounts in bulk, and says actions may range from a warning to restricted access or a ban. It does not mention modified apps, and we found no publisher statement on what happens to an account that runs one.
Your login. If you give your password, account or related information to anyone, the Terms let the publisher terminate the account immediately and without refund.
Your device. A file installed from outside the app stores has not passed the stores’ checks. That is a general security fact, not a statement about any particular file.

The official download

Kingshot is a free game with in-app purchases, published by Century Games. Get it from the store listing for your device, and compare the developer name before you install:

iPhone and iPad: Kingshot on the App Store. The seller is listed as Century Games Pte. Ltd.
Android: Kingshot on Google Play. The developer is listed as Century Games PTE. LTD.

The App Store lists the download size as about 1 GB. Allow for that on your phone and your data plan. We do not link to any file outside these two stores.

What you actually want

Usually: more gems, more speed, or a game that does not take a year to catch up on. The allowed routes are on the hub page and in our guides:

Is there a Kingshot hack?: gift codes, daily tasks and events, where free gems really come from.
Kingshot hacks and tricks: seventeen allowed efficiency moves.
The free-to-play guide: how a free player competes.

If you already installed one

Do these in order

Remove it from the device and stop signing in to the game from it.
Change the password of any account you typed into it, starting with your email.
Check the email linked to your game account for sign-in alerts or resets you did not request.
Contact the publisher through the game. The publisher’s notice names Avatar → Settings → Contact Us for reports and in-game customer service for questions about actions taken on an account.

Steps 1 to 3 are general security advice from us. We found no publisher article about modified clients or about recovering an account after one.

What we could not confirm: the download size on Google Play; whether the game works offline (we do not state it); how the publisher detects modified apps, because it does not publish its methods; any publisher statement about modified clients, or what happens to an account that runs one; that any particular file is harmful, since we open and name none.
