How many gems is a 24-hour speedup worth in Kingshot?

The in-game reference rate is about 1,200 gems for a 24-hour speedup, 400 for 8-hour, 150 for 3-hour and 50 for 1-hour — the rates this calculator uses to value your inventory.

Should I save speedups for events?

Usually yes: speedup usage scores points during KvK preparation days, so the same speedup spent during the right prep day buys progress and event points at once.

Your speedup stockpile, valued

This calculator turns a messy inventory — 1-minute to 24-hour speedups in nine denominations — into two useful numbers: total acceleration time, and total gem-equivalent value (using the in-game shop's reference rates, from 1 gem per 1-minute up to 1,200 per 24-hour). Give it a target time (say, a 6-day Town Center upgrade) and it also computes whether your stock covers it and what combination to burn.

Speedup discipline

Small speedups are proportionally as valuable as large ones — the waste comes from letting queues idle, not from denomination choice. Finish timers with small units so you never overshoot with a big one.
Speedup-minutes are also a scored KvK prep action; hoarding for the right day multiplies their value — see the KvK Score Calculator.
Before burning stock on a build, check the true queue length on the Building Calculator — base times there are pre-bonus ceilings.
