A kingdom holds three. Leading kingdoms hold none. They are the only door for a Governor above a kingdom's Power Cap — and the only invite the game announces by mail.
That is the whole supply side. Three invites is fewer than most kingdoms have Governors worth recruiting, and a King who spends one badly waits a month to get it back. It is the scarcest object in the transfer window, which is why it has a page of its own.
Under the cap, an Ordinary Invite or an open slot in Phase III will do — a kingdom has 35 Ordinary Invites and 20 open slots if it is Ordinary, 20 and 10 if it is Leading. Above the cap, nothing else works.
So the market for an over-cap Governor is entirely Ordinary kingdoms. A King whose kingdom is recorded as Leading is told this by the bot, with the rule quoted, rather than shown a board they cannot act on.
An issued invite is out of the King's hands until the event ends. It comes back if the Governor declines it or does not move — which is exactly why a King wants to know, before spending one, that the Governor actually intends to come.
This is the one part of the whole arrangement the game itself confirms to a player. So "I sent you a Special Invite" is a claim the Governor can check in their own mailbox, and the bot asks them to, with one button.
The 25-day transfer cooldown, the hero-generation and Truegold match, and the character-age rule all still apply. An invite opens the door; it does not carry anyone through it.

It is built from what Kings log here, replayed against the publisher's rules. The game holds the real count, and the game is the one that is right. We refuse to log a fourth so that nobody promises an invite the game will not let them send.
Every seek below was posted by a Governor whose player ID resolved to a real kingdom through the publisher's own backend. What you see is what a King sees: a declared power band, hours, language, what they want, and how many kingdoms are already courting them. No names, no player IDs, no Discord accounts, and not even which kingdom they are leaving — that last one would narrow a person to a few hundred people.
Power is declared everywhere it appears here. The game removed the endpoint that reported a player's power on 2026-07-21, so nobody can verify it — including us, and including anyone who tells you otherwise. The only thing confirmed is that a Governor ID is currently in the kingdom it claims.
A board where wealthy players gather is where account sales get advertised. Century Games prohibits private and third-party account trading and penalises advertising it, so the refusal here is structural rather than a rule in a footer:
Report a listing from Discord with /crown report seek:, or with the button on any card above.
Rules on this page are quoted from Century Games' Kingshot help centre, read 2026-09-08. Where our own count and the game disagree, the game is right.
