Flamedragon Tyrant guide

Your alliance just got selected as a Combatant and a member is asking whether leaving mid-event costs them their spot. Here's what the Help Center actually says — the rejoin rule, the Sunday battlefield schedule, scoring, and every mechanic in between.

Last updated: October 20, 2026.

Flamedragon Tyrant in one breath: an alliance-based battlefield event — Alliance Sign-Up Mon-Tue, Combatant Dispatch Wed-Thu, battlefield opens Sunday 11:00 UTC, Battle Phase 12:00-18:00 UTC. A selected Combatant who leaves their alliance after Combatant Dispatch can still participate if they rejoin before the Battle Phase ends. Points only come from the Flamedragon Palace and its 4 Aeries; Occupation Duration — and the alliance Leaderboard built on it — only credits the Rally Captain. The first alliance to hold the Palace earns the First Occupancy Reward for every member.

Phases & schedule

  1. Event Preview — available one week before the event begins, not shown in the Event Calendar.
  2. Alliance Sign-Up — Monday to Tuesday.
  3. Combatant Dispatch — Wednesday to Thursday.
  4. Eve of Battle — Friday to Sunday.
  5. Battlefield opens — Sunday 11:00 UTC, assigned Governors can enter.
  6. Battle Phase — Sunday 12:00 to 18:00 UTC, the Flamedragon Palace is contestable.
  7. No-attack window — Sunday 18:00 to 19:00 UTC: players may remain on the battlefield but no attacks are allowed. Retreating during this window means you can't re-enter.
  8. Rearmament — Sunday 18:00 UTC through Tuesday 24:00 UTC of the following week.
  9. Tyrant's Gift — open Sunday 18:00 UTC to Monday 24:00 UTC, openable only by the Flamedragon Tyrant.

Sign-up, eligibility & matchmaking

  • Matchmaking: Kingdoms with similar progress are matched into the same Zone, evaluated on War Academy Tech, Truegold Building Levels, Hero Generation, Governor Gear/Charms and Pet Level.
  • Alliance sign-up: every alliance in the Zone can register; the top-ranking alliances at the end of the Sign-Up Phase qualify. How many alliances qualify scales with how many Kingdoms are in the Zone — the Help Center doesn't publish the exact formula, so check your event screen.
  • Personal sign-up: once your alliance qualifies, you apply during the Combatant Dispatch Phase, and you need to meet a Town Center Level requirement that can vary by Zone.
  • Roster size: R4/R5 members of a qualifying alliance can designate up to 60 eligible members for the battlefield.
Can't participate? Check four things: your alliance meets the battle eligibility requirements, you didn't join your current alliance after Sign-Up ended, you were actually selected as a Combatant, and alliance management hasn't cancelled your battle eligibility.

Leaving your alliance mid-event — the Combatant rule vs. the Tyrant rule

If you're a selected Combatant: you can leave your alliance after the Combatant Dispatch Phase and still participate, as long as you rejoin before the Battle Phase ends (Sunday 18:00 UTC). Miss that window and you lose your spot.

That rule is specifically about Combatants. Separately, the Help Center also confirms the Flamedragon Tyrant themself can leave their own alliance without losing the title — two different roles, two different (but both permissive) answers.

Squad Power & which buffs carry onto the battlefield

Squad Power mainly derives from Governor Gear, Governor Charm, Hero Gear, Battle Tech and Pet power.

Buffs that take effect as normal: King/High King Titles and stats, Outpost stats, Pet stats, VIP stats, Personal Tech, Alliance Tech, Skin bonuses, Town buffs, Pet Skill bonuses and King Skill bonuses.

March speed: follows the same rules as Wilderness March Speed on the World Map — your personal Hunting March Speed stats do carry over to the battlefield.

Entering, re-entering & combat on the battlefield

  • To enter once it's open: you must belong to an alliance assigned to battle, have no Squads currently Scouting or Marching, a Barricade that isn't burning, and an Embassy with no Reinforcements from other Governors.
  • Battle Preparation: a 5-minute window right after the battlefield opens — no teleporting, attacking, scouting or garrisoning.
  • Attack targets matter: attacking the Flamedragon Palace or Aeries only injures your soldiers. Attacking another Governor's town can get them severely injured or killed — double-check your target.
  • No looting: you can't loot a defeated Governor's resources on the battlefield.
  • Barricades burn fast: burning speed is greatly increased on the battlefield — repair promptly.
  • Teleport placement is power-based: higher-power Governors can pick the Magma Sanctum near the Palace and Aeries; lower-power Governors are steered toward the Border Regions (shields available there) to minimize early losses.
  • Re-entering: your Town lands at a random location on the map, never the same spot.
  • Healing assist: alliance members not assigned to the battlefield can still tap to help heal assigned members, even on a different map.
  • After the event: Infirmary capacity has no limit during battle, but healing injured soldiers still costs the normal time and resources — this is why resource and time costs spike once the event ends and healing catches up.

Scoring: Personal Points, Occupation Duration & the Leaderboard

  • Personal Points: only earned by attacking Governors or NPCs garrisoned in the Flamedragon Palace and Aeries — directly attacking a Governor's town grants none.
  • Occupation Duration: only accrues to the Rally Captain occupying the Palace. If the captain role transfers to someone else without leaving the team, the duration accrues to the new captain going forward.
  • First Occupancy Reward: every member of the first alliance to occupy the Flamedragon Palace receives it.
  • Aerie Special Bonuses: whichever alliance occupies an Aerie the longest in a round gets Special Bonuses for 30 minutes.
  • Alliance Occupation Duration Leaderboard: ranked by the alliance's total Occupation Duration at the Palace, counting only Rally Captains' time — other members don't contribute, and a Rally Captain under 1 second of duration won't appear on the ranking at all.
  • Leaderboard rewards: mailed out after the Palace battle ends based on final rankings, and only to alliance members who actually participated in the battle.

Pyrocrystals, Dragonborn Escorts & Alliance Crystal Skills

Pyrocrystals

Alliance Leaders spend Pyrocrystals to cast Crystal Skills supporting alliance members on the battlefield. Get them by defeating Dragonborn Escorts or gathering from mines in the Border Regions — mines first refresh 15 minutes after the Palace opens for battle, then every 30 minutes until the Palace battle ends. Dispatching a gathering squad uses a March Queue slot and earns Personal Points plus Pyrocrystals. Non-allied players can attack your gathering squad and take the mine if they win (allied gathering shows a blue icon and can't be looted). Exiting the battlefield mid-gather auto-returns the squad, settles collected resources/points normally, and forfeits anything uncollected.

Dragonborn Escorts

Refresh at random locations in the Border Regions — first refresh when the Palace opens, then every 30 minutes until the Palace battle ends (none in the Magma Sanctum). Defeating one earns Personal Points and Pyrocrystals at no Stamina cost, though it occupies a March Queue slot. Only solo attacks are allowed, no rallying a group onto one.

Alliance Crystal Skills

From the battlefield: tap Alliance Crystal Skills → select a skill → spend Pyrocrystals to activate — only R4/R5 members of a participating alliance can do this. Multiple skills can be active at once, each with its own cooldown, and they stack with other bonuses. A skill's effect disappears if you leave the battlefield but resumes if you return before it expires (the Dragonborn Gathering skill specifically still affects squads that already departed). Pyrocrystals from Alliance Crystals reset at the end of every event — they don't carry over.

Tracking it live: tap the triangle button at the edge of the screen to open the Flamedragon Battlefield Overview — Palace/Aeries battle status, refresh countdowns for Pyrocrystal mines and Dragonborn Escorts, and quick-jump to locations.

Becoming — and being — the Flamedragon Tyrant

The articles read for this page don't state the exact coronation condition for becoming Tyrant — only the powers that come with the title once crowned:

  • Titles & honor: the Tyrant can appoint titles and grant Tyrant Honor to Governors in their Overseen Zone. Each Governor holds one title at a time, and the Tyrant can revoke it anytime.
  • Stacking: all 4 Flamedragon Tyrant titles stack with Appointments, King and High King bonuses, with a 1-hour cooldown after each Appointment.
  • Exclusive skin: auto-granted on being crowned, with its 30-day validity countdown starting immediately — which is why it can read as less than 30 days even before you've used it.
  • Tyrant Declaration: editable once per day during the Tyrant's term; each edit triggers a Ticker Broadcast and a notification mail to every Governor in the Zone.
  • Can leave their alliance: yes. Can transfer Kingdoms: no.
  • Overseen Zone: based on the Zone Range when the event opens, viewable in the Tyrant's Benefits interface or the World Map.
  • Unclaimed Tyrant Exclusive Pack rewards are mailed out after the reign ends.

Prep week: Champions' Eve, the Dragon Banquet, Dragonclaw Marks & Dragon Essence

Champions' Eve

The prep-week event before the official battle: Preview Display on Tuesday, running Wednesday to Saturday until 24:00 UTC. Governors earn Personal Points from Missions, unlocking Governor Chests; opening one while in an alliance also grants Alliance Preparation Points (your personal contribution is kept even if you leave the alliance). Once an alliance banks enough Preparation Points, it unlocks exclusive bonuses for the Flamedragon Battlefield. Unclaimed Governor Chest rewards are sent by mail.

Dragon Banquet

A Feast the Flamedragon Tyrant can host in their own Kingdom any time from Sunday 18:00 UTC to Monday 24:00 UTC — once per season, lasting 1 hour once started, and impossible to stop early. The Feast Hall appears automatically near the King's Castle and every Governor in the Kingdom can attend, sitting at any of 4 tiers of Dining Tables (higher tier, better reward, granted on being seated) that keep refreshing during the hour. Dining doesn't use a March Queue slot, and tables purchased from packs stay available for up to 54 hours until the Event Preview Phase ends.

Dragonclaw Marks & Dragon Essence

Dragonclaw Marks: earned via Blazing Trail Missions or correct Championship Prediction trivia guesses (1,000 Marks per correct guess). Spend on Tyrant Predictions or exchange in the Prediction Shop. During the Prediction Phase (Wednesday-Sunday 11:00 UTC), Tyrant Prediction lets you spend 1,000 Marks to support up to 3 alliances, paying a prize or partial refund depending on the result; rewards mail out during the Outcome Notice phase, and predictions close once the battlefield opens.

Dragon Essence: earned the same way (Blazing Trail Missions) or by purchasing packs, exchanged at Dragon's Caravan instead of the Prediction Shop.

Liking the Tyrant: only possible during the Rearmament Phase, for your Zone's own Tyrant, up to 5 likes per day.

What this page doesn't cover

The Help Center is silent on, and this page does not claim: the exact number of alliances that qualify per Zone size, the exact coronation requirement for becoming Flamedragon Tyrant, reward point values at the Palace/Aeries, Dining Table and Occupancy/Leaderboard reward amounts, and the Town Center Level required for Combatant Dispatch sign-up (stated only as "varies by Zone"). Check your in-game event screen for those.

Rules from the official Kingshot Help Center: Flamedragon Tyrant section (55 articles, all read directly for this page). Schedules and numbers can change with updates; the in-game event screen is the final word.

How does matchmaking decide my Zone?

Kingdoms with similar progress (War Academy Tech, Truegold Levels, Hero Generation, Governor Gear/Charms, Pet Level) are matched into the same Zone.

How do I sign up?

Alliances register and the top-ranking ones qualify; once your alliance qualifies, you apply during Combatant Dispatch, meeting a Town Center Level requirement that varies by Zone.

Why can't I participate?

Check alliance eligibility, whether you joined after Sign-Up ended, whether you were actually selected as a Combatant, and whether management cancelled your eligibility.

How many members can my alliance assign to the battlefield?

Up to 60 eligible members, designated by R4/R5.

I'm selected as a Combatant — if I leave my alliance after Combatant Dispatch, am I still in?

You need an eligible alliance, no Squads Scouting/Marching, a Barricade that isn't burning, and no Embassy Reinforcements from other Governors.

What happens when the battlefield opens?

A 5-minute Battle Preparation window first, then attacks are live — Palace/Aeries attacks only injure, attacks on other Governors can kill. No looting, fast Barricade burn, and power-based teleport placement.

Will I return to the same spot if I re-enter?

What are Dragonborn Escorts?

Solo-only targets refreshing every 30 minutes in the Border Regions, rewarding Personal Points and Pyrocrystals at no Stamina cost.
