Picking a tag that reads well

Every generated name above comes with a matching 3-letter tag — here's what makes one work in-game.

  • Pull it from the name. A tag that shares a sound or letter with your alliance name is easier for members and recruits to connect — FRB for "Frostborn" reads cleaner than three unrelated letters.
  • Avoid look-alike characters. O/0 and I/l/1 are hard to tell apart in small chat text — a recruit typing your tag into world chat shouldn't have to guess.
  • Keep it short on purpose. The tag shows in brackets next to every member's name, in every message, permanently — 2–3 letters stays legible; longer starts crowding the name next to it.
  • Say it out loud. If it's unpronounceable, members won't say it in voice chat or Discord — and a tag nobody says out loud doesn't spread.

How to use these: your alliance has a short tag (a few letters, shown in brackets next to every member) and a longer name. Keep the tag 2–3 letters so it reads cleanly in chat. Kingshot caps the name length — confirm the exact limit on the create/rename screen in-game. You rename an alliance from its management screen (leadership only). Named the alliance? Now fill it — grab our recruitment message templates and post today.
