The War Table

Two armies clash. Study their composition. Predict the victor. One chance per day.

About The War Table

The War Table is a daily battle prediction challenge built around real Kingshot combat mechanics. Two armies are presented side by side — each with a troop tier, troop composition breakdown, and active buffs. Your job is to study the matchup and predict which army wins. One attempt per day.

Combat in Kingshot is not random. Higher troop tiers deal more damage and absorb more hits. Troop type ratios matter — a cavalry-heavy army performs differently against an infantry line than an archer-heavy one. Buff stacking from research, hero skills, and widgets can swing a fight that looks settled on paper. The War Table trains you to read all three layers at once.

How to Read the Matchup

  • Troop tier — T9 troops fight differently than T6. Higher tier means higher base attack and HP. A tier gap of two or more is difficult to overcome with buffs alone.
  • Troop composition — Each army shows its infantry, cavalry, and archer ratios. A mixed army spreads bonuses thin. A focused army can dominate if the matchup favors that troop type.
  • Active buffs — Rally and garrison buffs, hero skills, and widget effects are listed where they apply. A 20% attack buff on a smaller army can neutralize a numbers advantage.
  • March size — Raw troop count determines attrition. A larger army forces the smaller one to absorb proportionally more losses per wave.

What You Learn

  • How to evaluate a fight before committing your march — the same read you need before joining a rally or defending your city.
  • Which buffs are worth chasing in research and which are marginal in real engagements.
  • Why troop type diversity is sometimes a liability, not an asset.
  • How tier gaps interact with march size — when numbers can compensate and when they cannot.
